::We were looking for a simple and pleasant place to do an extended family Shabbat, specifically in Ashkelon (we are not from the area). We heard about the hotel as a groom's Saturday hotel, we thought it would suit. The hotel turned out to be a nice hotel, with an ultra-Orthodox atmosphere, and very groom-oriented Saturdays. That is to allow each family celebrating its own place for prayers, even if it means that half of the lobby becomes a synagogue (although there are enough halls to hold prayers). The pool was closed (although it is mid-June), and the "pool" places were limited because the hotel was crowded (and as mentioned half of the lobby was a synagogue at different times during the Sabbath). The food was just fine, the waiters worked hard and were lovely. (A third meal at 19:15 is not recommended for families with small children, although it is daylight saving time; there is no flexibility in meal times). The rooms were crowded and old, but clean and ready with all the necessary equipment (put in a cot ahead of time, at our request). If you are looking for an ultra-Orthodox groom's Shabbat atmosphere, at an equal price for everyone - this is your place. If not, it's better to look elsewhere ...
