::Avoid Avoid Avoid. Discount bank provided me with a loan of 10k which I was paying off with no interruption. I received a tsav rishon from the Army. I explained to the bank I will need to defer payments until my service as a lone soldier is through, the bank manager said that is no problem, it happens all the time you will incur some late fees but not to worry. The day after my release, they had already sent my account to a collections lawyer without notifying me. The Lawyer ballooned my debt to over 40,000 Shekel, garnished my wages and blocked my freedom of movement to leave Israel. These are cruel predatory practices and you're better off working with a bank that actually uses email and not Fax machines.
