  Following a financial crisis, the hospital began operating in October 2012 in a limited format. The hospital went to work on Saturday, the outpatient clinics and the day care departments at the hospital stopped working, and during the month the Ministry of Health closed the emergency room. The maternity ward of the new maternity ward was also closed. At the beginning of November 2012, the hospital was almost completely paralyzed for a few days due to the abandonment of the hospital staff due to the failure to receive their salaries. During the same month, an agreement was reached with Bikur Cholim, which manages the hospital, under the mediation of Deputy Minister of Health Yaakov Litzman. As part of the agreement, unpaid salaries were transferred to the employees, and the hospital returned to full activity. During December 2012 the association filed a request for liquidation, the court accepted the request and ordered the dissolution of the association. Following this directive, an agreement was signed between the State, the employees and Shaare Zedek Hospital. According to this agreement, all the workers will be fired, and only about 360 of them will be re-employed by Shaare Zedek Medical Center. Following the merger with Shaare Zedek, most of the departments that operated at Bikur Holim Hospital and some of the doctors who moved to Shaare Zedek Hospital were closed. In the building where Bikur Cholim is currently located, there are mainly maternity rooms, a pagya and a maternity ward, as well as an internal ward devoted mostly to geriatric patients.

  I advise you not to get to this hospital. The worst in Jerusalem. Is in the appropriate state all the time before closing. Not enough subsidies. Adas Ein Karem Hospital is many times better.
