  Although this was my first ulpan experience, I have taken university level Hebrew so I have some perspective on teaching methods and atmosphere. The facility is one level above the street in the Florentin, a funky area of South Tel Aviv that is transitioning from working class/Levinsky Market to gentrifying/hipster. The place is clean and friendly. The atmosphere inside the ulpan is welcoming to all ages, backgrounds, and orientations. Great effort is made to incorporate suggestions from students if it helps the learning environment, and students can request to change levels even after a week or two of classes. A pair of teachers alternated every few days during our month long, intensive course. At first it was strange to try to adapt to each teacher’s individual style, but it soon became apparent that one benefit of this tag-team was that it kept the material fresh and the class never fell into a rut of sameness. It takes a lot of energy to keep a class engaged for 3 plus hours each day and so I felt each teacher came back to our class fresh from their little break, even though they no doubt teach lots of other classes! Both teachers were young, energetic and great at delivering the material in their own particular manner. I definitely improved over the course of the class and felt a drop after being out of the program for a week or so. I can’t wait to return so I can get that edge back and get even further along. I stopped off in Paris for a few days on my way back to the States. I don’t speak a word of French, so especially by contrast, I was surprised at how comfortable I felt speaking Hebrew while hanging out in the Jewish Quarter. Thanks Ulpan Bayit!

  The best ulpan in all of Israel. I can understand conversations and speaking Hebrew after few months! 3 hours of lesson going very fast 😍 The teachers are perfect, the atmosphere is very warm and friendly, like in your house. And the results are magic! If you don’t know which ulpan to choose - chose Ulpan Bayit, this is sign for you😉

  Ulpan Bayit is an exceptional place to learn Hebrew! The environment is warm and inviting and the second you step into the building you feel right at home (just as the name suggests). Yaron and his amazing teachers have figured out a great way to teach. As somebody who has a background in education, I can tell that each lesson plan is well thought out, properly organized and presented in a fun and relevant context. I looked forward to class each week and really feel like I learned so much from this experience. Not to mention that I met some amazing people in class! I definitely recommend Ulpan Bayit to anyone looking to learn Hebrew in a fun and meaningful way 👍🏻 Sent from my iPhone

  I've learned Hebrew here from November '16 to January '17 and had a very positive experience. Small classes, fast learning, great teachers, positive environment, movie nights and evening parties. Definitely one of the best memories I will keep of the time I spent in Israel.
