  This is the place where Jesus performed his first miracle. Jesus and his mother Mary went to attend the wedding on invitation. In the midst of the reception mother Mary realised that the serving wine was over. She went to Jesus and urged him to do something about it. Jesus then asked the servants to fill those empty jars with water. He then asked the servants to start serving the content of it.

  Biserica Sfantului Mare Mucenic Gheorghe din Cana Galileii a fost construită în secolul al IV-lea de Sfânta Elena, mama Sfântului Constantin cel Mare. A suferit distrugeri de-a lungul anilor din cauza războielor și diferitelor atentate comune zonei, biserica a fost reconstruită în 1879 și inaugurată în 1883. Biserica este sub grija unor preoți ortodocsi greci. Intrarea se face pe o poartă imensă ce se află la stradă. Localitatea este aproape de Nazaret, la aproximativ 7 kilometri.  Biserica Sfântului Mare Mucenic Gheorghe din Cana Galileii este construită ca majoritatea bisericilor din zonă, din piatră și lemn. Este o biserică simplă, dar frumoasă, iar picturile din interior te fac sa iti aduci aminte de bisericile din România.
