  Car rental in Israel often exhibits more of the unsavoury aspects of the Israeli tourism industry than the companies themselves or fair-minded Israelis would actually like. Horrible customer service, exhorbitant prices, hidden fees, inflexible and inconvenient operating hours and pick up locations etc etc. Shlomo SIXT is no exception. Nonetheless, of the 4 rental companies that I've had the displeasure of renting cars from, Shlomo SIXT (Haifa branch) was the least unpleasant. Recommended (if weather or circumstances do not permit simply renting a bicycle).

  I gave here the car back and it tooks 5 to 10 minutes. You have to ask the service staff to open the gate, outside is not much space. A little bit difficult to find the parking area for the car return, no signs outside. In Germany Sixt offers usually good and new cars. Israel Sixt offers not the same premium standart as Sixt in Europe. If you want newer cars use a different rental company like eldan. Compare the prices, eldan gives a best price guaranty.

  Good service! Only rental I have found thar has vans with big trunk.

  We prepay for car with child seat, and they just forgot about it. Use avis if you want normal service.

  Not organised at all, needed half an hour to find the car, plus very hard to exit the offer packed parking lot. Same problem at giving back the car
