Our tour guide was Florent. He showed us the highlights but also gave a lot of background information you will typically not get with a standard tourtistic package. Jerusalem is such a complicated and intersting city, obtaining the info from a book would let you miss a lot of details. I highly recommend this tour

It was a great trip! Very informative and enjoyable! Jerry has a great sense of humor, it was a pleasure to walk around the city with him! I highly recommend!

Paul is extremely knowledgeable and made the Free Tour of Jerusalem a very good use of our time. He took us throughout the Old City to places we would probably not found on our own. He helped us to imagine what life may have been like during ancient times. He reduced the years of history into manageable bits to help us comprehend all that has taken place in Jerusalem and Israel.

I thought this was a great walking tour, and a good alternative to the one prebooked that would have cost us around $50 per person. I know some people feel the need to complain about prices, but this is indeed a free walking tour and you tip the guide with the amount you feel best. Our guide Avishai did not mention the 50NIS recommended tip until the end of the tour, which was what I already intended to give. Either way, he was very knowledgeable and allowed the opportunity for questions, something that helped as I was traveling with my mother who knew nothing about Jerusalem prior to coming. The tour lasts about two hours and I felt that it worked out well for us. So if you donโ€™t mind walking and coughing up ten to fifteen bucks, although you CAN tip less, then I highly recommend this tour.

I do not recommend to take this Free Walking Tour, if you expect to be free as is announce. It is free ... However, the first information, that you get after the start is, that the guid expect 50 NIS (on average) for this guided tour. I was really disgusted from this approach and left immediately. Let free is free and paid is paid...
