::A Yemenite restaurant in the style of yesteryear. Very popular with excellent food.

::The same restaurant for 1000 years for better or worse. I missed leg soup after the closure, and that's exactly what I got with black fenugreek bread and a slice of lemon. I went out seven and basted. Price 50 NIS.
ROEE KALEV
::This is one of the oldest restaurants in Israel that has been open continuously for many years. The restaurant does not try to be trendy, not renovated, slightly dark and old-fashioned, and for those who first come in, the place seems like time has stood for many years. The smell of threads on which a number of large, classic Yemeni dishes, such as Yemeni leg soup or lung stew, are cooked. This is certainly not a restaurant for everyone, and although it is categorized as a popular workers' restaurant, the price may be surprisingly high. For the most part I go into the place, I order leg soup, I ask that it come with regular plain bread slices and a fenugreek bowl. The price is 45 shekels if I'm not mistaken. I know that at this price there are many good options in the area, but I'm drawn to a place I know from childhood, and I'm attracted to the taste of "a bit of a time" and I don't want to sound cliche.

::Dirty place we ordered tasteless meat soup also the milk tasted weird and the price didn't make sense. We will not return.

::Small authentic Yemenite restaurant just off Herzl street, run by two brothers who also act as waiters. We had meatballs, beef soup and lahoh (לחוח) with fenugreek paste (חילבה). The meatballs were ok but the soup, despite seemingly simple, was tasty and rich with flavors. Be aware that the food is a bit oily, but that's part of the flavor.
