::The Raanana MaccabiDent is terrible. The dentists are great, but everything else is bad. I must've gone there 30 times, and I'm always early for my appointment. But they're always running behind schedule, usually by 30 - 60 minutes! Recently, I had an appointment for August 25. I then called to see if there were any cancellations, and there was. So they canceled my August 25 appointment in order to give me an appointment on August 17 at 18:30. I got there at 18:10, and waited until 18:30. The dentist said they were behind schedule. They said they'll see me "very soon". I waited another hour, at which point I had to leave. Nobody was able to see me, even though I have a significant problem with my tooth! And now I don't even have my original August 25 appointment! But the worst issue of all is when I'm lied to. When I left the office at 19:30 on August 17, I asked one of the people working at the desks (Yarden) to ask the manager to call me. She said that the manager would call me the next morning. She didn't! Why is MaccabiDent Raanana always so far behind schedule? And why can't they call me to tell me they're so far behind so I don't have to miss work for no reason? And why has nobody ever apologized to me for always being so behind? I understand it's not usually the dentist's fault, but when a customer is put out due to the fault of someone in the office, someone from the office should apologize. If they know from experience that things will statistically run late, they're intentionally misleading customers when they continue to set appointments that won't likely be kept by a longshot. Sometimes I book the first appointment of the day - and they're still always behind! How can it be so hard to stick to appointment times? I also don't love that if you have an issue, you need to schedule a minimum of 2 appointments. The first appointment is to check the problem. The second+ appointments are to fix the issue. They will not do both in the same appointment. With scheduling an appointment usually taking a minimum of 2 weeks, this is pretty unreasonable. Some procedures require a series of 5 - 10 appointments, which would be done by private dentists within 2 - 3 appointments. ------------------- Another particularly bad incident follows (cut off end due to limit): I had a toothache on November 5, 2017. So I called MaccabiDent at 10:26 to make an appointment. I told them that I didn't care which dentist I saw. The earliest date they could give me was on December 18 at 18:15 - 6 weeks away!! I made the appointment anyway. I then called MaccabiDent again on November 5, 2017 at 19:27 to see if they could give me an earlier appointment. I spoke to Miri, and she told me they couldn't. But they also told me that instead of me having an appointment on December 18 at 18:15 like we had agreed that morning, I instead had an appointment on December 20 at 17:15. When I got to the appointment, they checked my teeth and saw that 2 adjacent fillings I already had there were broken. They told me that they couldn't fix the problem then, and I had to make another appointment. I couldn't wait another 6 weeks to get the problem fixed, so I begged them to give me an earlier appointment. The dentist did me a favor and told one of the receptionists to give me an appointment on December 26 (less than a week later). It was in the middle of the day, so I had to take time off from work, but I was desperate. I got to the appointment on December 26 at 11:15. They were running behind schedule (as always), but she fixed my fillings. I went back to work, and when the anesthesia wore off, I noticed that the filling was WAY too high. I therefore didn't eat anything for lunch or dinner. I left work early and got there at 17:30. The receptionist told me that nobody could see me, and so I had to wait for Ezra Rishona. I told them it it was THEIR MISTAKE and so they should give me a higher priority, but they refused.
