  You want to know what Arabic sweets are, try this place in the old city. Comming from Damaskusgate go down over the market. Usually there are many women sitting on the floor and selling wine leaves, dried herbs... You hit a V. At this courners you can get one of the cheapest and freshest Falafel inside of the wall. But come not to late they close early. The alley right of the Falafel place (Beit HaBad St.) Will lead you to Jaffar and... It is on your right side walking up. Just look for the big sign above and all the sweet, filling food. Show them what you want. They put it on a plate and you go with it to the cashier to pay. Eat it there or ask them to pack it with a fork in case you want to eat it later. Both is fine. It is a place were locals and tourist meet. And believe me the locals know what is good.

  Αγόρασα γλυκό με κρέμα κ φιστίκι 5€ ακριβό για γλυκό "στο πόδι" όπως λεμε . Στην Ελλάδα έχει το πολύ 3€.Ηταν βέβαια ωραίο το γλυκό κ το ευχαριστήθηκα.

  Считается одним из лучших мест для покупки арабских сладостей. Место хорошее, годное. Проблема только в том, что Джафар лупит цены мама-не-горюй. Мог бы и постесняться. Впрочем, если будете торговаться, то Джафар уступит. Обязательно попробуйте "кнафе", турецкую сласть, которую местные арабы называют "фалястынской".
