::Like everywhere in Israel you need to chill and donโt expect European Service standards. Service takes its time but is endeavored, very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent - I had the Hillel breakfast and the Apple pie- coffee was one of the best I had in Israel.

::Friendly service and most of the staff I dealt with spoke English which was helpful. The coffee here was good and I don't drink a lot of coffee. I had the workers breakfast and that was very tasty. Not sure what all was in it but I am sure that I liked it. The best part for me was the cinnamon roll. Just s nice small piece of flaky deliciousness. It's walking distance from the old City Jerusalem so that's convenient. There's a light rail train stop just up the street and they open want enough if you have a busy day planned.

::We were visiting Jerusalem the week of February 12 and went to Cafe Hillel for breakfast. You can see into the kitchen area from where we sat and I observed the cook as he prepared our food. I had eggs benedict. As he prepared my order, he stopped to pick up and scroll through his phone, put it down and continued to mix my salad with his bare hands and lick his fingers! Disgusting. He never washed his hands and I also watched him put parsley on my eggs with the same hand he held his phone in and the same hand he licked his fingers. I immediately told the manager and he did speak to the cook but I never saw him wash his hands. I looked at my food as it was served and to top it off, the eggs were watery. It was gross. I didn't eat it and I will never, ever go to Cafe Hillel again! They need to give this cook some sanitation training or fire him.

::Came to visit on holiday and saw my friend get a little egg sandwich and it looked lovely so I wanted to go back for one. I came here and ordered two because letโs face it... if youโre American everywhere else in the world doesnโt understand our portion sizes... I think this place is really cute too. Nicely decorated and relaxing. If you want to stay and get waited on you can or if you simply want to do take away you can opt for that as well. It was calm and relaxing and everyoneโs breakfasts looked delicious. There is seating inside and outside of the place where you can watch people walk on the Main Street and see the tram go by as you enjoy your meal! If youโre looking for a western Israeli mix this could be a good option for you. I liked my coffee but felt that the egg sandwiches were just okay. They werenโt the tastiest food I have ever had. They were very bland infact but the way they really stood out was that they were very beautiful to look at. I would definitely get another coffee but probably skip the egg sandwich next time. Iโm assuming the other food they had was good because it looked like others were enjoying themselves while eating here.

::Nice coffee shop for a quick breakfast. Photo is of the mini breakfast omelette sandwich. Wonderful crisp bread. Altogether a very tasty sandwich. With a small cappuccino this was 21 nis. A fair price. Outside setting was wonderful in the morning sunshine. Waitress was the sole distractor from a perfect score.
