::Johnny said that his family was originally a family. He traveled to Jerusalem to do business. He was only a 5-minute walk from Rachel's Tomb. Later, he was surrounded by three walls and turned into a dead lane. He had to open a bed and souvenir shop, but tourists rarely walked into the lane. Business is hard to do. We also accidentally stayed at Johnny's homestay. He shared his story and comfortable accommodation with us. It takes 10 minutes to walk north to the border to Jerusalem, and to the south along the wall to see many famous graffiti. Then, walk for about 10 minutes to get to the bus station that often Hebron. Johnny can also arrange tours, accommodation and meals in Palestine.

::This is my favorite guesthouse in all of Bethlehem. Claire and Johnny treat you like family while you're there, and they're full of interesting stories if you care to hear how the conflict has evolved over time. They also run a souvenir shop below their guesthouse which offers the best quality products I found in Bethlehem, and all of the merchandise had fixed prices so you don't need to haggle with them like you might as you get closer to the shops on Manger Street near the Church of the Nativity. The added bonus of staying with the Anastas is that you're helping a once-thriving family who has been directly stifled by the building of the wall in 2003 - they used to be the guesthouse near Rachel's Tomb, but now that there is the wall between the guesthouse and Rachel's Tomb, they don't nearly get as many customers as they used to. You're supporting a family who has been hit hard by the conflict.
