  This church is connected to, and above the Church of the Annunciation. It is simple, yet wonderful. The sanctuary is worshipful. Go below to see ruins, and a house said to be Joseph's workshop.

  Church is located in northern Israel in the city of Nazareth where Jesus grew up, the church is believed to be situated where Christ’s earthly father, Joseph once had his home and carpentry workshop. This would then have become the home of Mary as well following their marriage. The church is also known as the Church of Nutrition and the Church of Joseph’s Carpentry. The Gospels use the Greek word tekton, meaning builder or artisan, to describe Joseph. He most likely worked with both stone and wood, since stone was the common building material in the area. The church has several interesting stained glass windows and paintings depicting scenes involving Joseph. There is the scene of Joseph and Mary’s wedding, Joseph dying in the arms of Jesus and Mary, a scene of Joseph showing Jesus how to work in the carpentry as May looks on as well as other scenes of the Holy Family together. The present day church was constructed in 1914 on what remained of a Crusader Church and this in turn was built on a series of caves.

  Piccola Chiesa inserita nel complesso della Basilica dell'Annunciazione, in memoria di San Giuseppe. Bellissima la statua della Sacra Famiglia posta all'ingresso.

  Appelée également l'église de la nutrition, en référence au rôle de Josèphe, père nourricier pendant l'enfance de Jésus, l'édifice repose sur d'ancienne constructions. L'endroit est nettement plus intime, il reflète une vie sociale paisible pendant l'enfance de celui qui se proclamera être "le fils de Dieu"
