  A traditional Arab Sweets boutique. In he city center, between two Giants Nakhli Coffee original store and the famous shfaamru ice cream there it hides - alwaleed sweets. You probably ask what is so special about it, well traditional Arab Sweets can be tricky, most of the places are "tourist traps".. but not in shfaamru first because there aren't much tourists and 2nd because shfaamru is a town of good cuisine, a bad place won't survive. Back to alwaleed, a stranger wouldn't immediately notice but they do 3 styles of traditional sweets: 1. The Palestinian: a bit larger portions and presented in big trays. 2. The Syrian style: small bite-collection in white boxes. 3. The Turkish style in "wooden boxes, which I didn't try. The different styles might look similiar but they taste differently. While the Palestinian is fresh and sweeter (more sugar sauce) the Syrian is dry more crunchy and has less sugar but made with butter. Both are worth a try. Do it yourself collection of the Palestinian style sweets and take home the ready Syrian collection. That would be the recommendation. SaHtein.
