  Many pictures are not correct. Should be the red dome. Don't mix this place with the one at Tabgha--St. Peter Primacy.

  Simple but antique and unique eucharistic place with massive oval table-rock, as on byzantine icons of the Mystical Supper. For that reason, although few groups take time to visit the place, it's a major shrine for devotion where it's worth planning a prayer time. Get the key in the Franciscan Pilgrim Center facing the main basilica. Not to be confused with the Mensa Christi of St Peter's Primacy in Tabgha.
